IC Holding Joins Forces with Global Giants for Global Technology Exports in the Data Center Sector

With over half a century of experience in the construction, energy, and infrastructure sectors and a track record of delivering global projects, IC Holding has entered into a strategic partnership on an international scale in the data center sector. Under the memorandum of understanding signed with Future Energy (FE) and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI), the plan is to bring data center solutions developed in Turkey to global markets.

Data centers, which are among the cornerstones of the digital economy, have evolved beyond being mere spaces for storing and processing data; they have become strategic infrastructure that determines a country’s technological independence and competitive strength. In this era of accelerating data traffic and artificial intelligence technologies, IC Holding is preparing to shape Turkey’s digital infrastructure future through this major partnership. Through a memorandum of understanding signed between IC Holding, Future Enerji, and Japanese technology leader Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, the goal is to develop Turkey-based data center projects and bring the resulting technological model to global markets.

Turkey’s engineering expertise is expanding into international markets

Under the agreement, within the framework of the strategic partnership established by IC Holding and Future Energy with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, investments in AI-focused, high-efficiency data centers are planned primarily in Turkey, as well as in Europe and the Middle East. The projects are designed to scale from modular to “hyperscale” levels, and the investment and implementation processes will be managed in line with this structure. The model to be jointly developed under these projects—referred to as “Joint Solution” (Ortak Çözüm) model—will not be limited to the local market; in the initial phase, it will focus on the needs of countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Spain, and Finland, evolving into a global solution package. This model, which IC Holding will adopt as its core approach for future data center investments, will also demonstrate the global competitiveness of Turkish engineering in a high-tech field such as data centers.

Commenting on the partnership, IC Holding CEO Can Çaka stated: “Today, as data has become the most valuable strategic asset, data centers—which process and protect this data—have become indispensable pillars of the digital economy. In this era of exponentially increasing global data traffic, investing in sustainable and secure data center infrastructure is not only a technological necessity but also an effort to build our country’s digital future. As IC Holding, we are now bringing the engineering and construction expertise we have demonstrated over half a century in large-scale infrastructure projects to data centers—one of the world’s fastest-growing technology sectors today. “We aim to demonstrate the competitive strength of Turkish engineering in this field on the global stage by exporting the integrated solution model we will develop across a broad geographic area stretching from Europe to the Middle East,” he said.

End-to-End Integrated Solutions and Technology Synergy

At the heart of this collaboration is a comprehensive working model focused on the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing packages—the most critical components of data centers. In this context, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries’ global expertise in modular system design, engineering, and the supply of critical equipment will will be combined with IC Holding’s construction infrastructure, the production capabilities of group affiliate Treysan in modular system components, and Future Enerji’s investment and structuring framework. Within this approach, the effective utilization of domestic production and support for the local technological infrastructure are also considered key priorities. In projects that will utilize state-of-the-art technological equipment—ranging from emergency generators to high-efficiency industrial cooling systems—IC Holding places sustainability and operational excellence at the forefront.
