IC Holding transparently shared with its stakeholders its “Impact of Development” sustainability strategy—designed to manage the environmental, social, and economic impacts arising from its holding activities—as well as its sustainability report, which compiles its efforts related to the priority areas identified within this framework.

IC İbrahim Çeçen Investment Holding (IC Holding), which operates in five main sectors—construction, energy, tourism, industry, and infrastructure—has presented its centralized sustainability efforts, the projects it has implemented, its 2021–2022, and its goals for the coming period in its sustainability report, which it has made available for stakeholder review.

IC Holding CEO Murad Bayar, noting that they are proud to have completed the process of centralizing their sustainability efforts and published their reports, “As part of our centralized sustainability efforts, we conducted a detailed survey with 1,100 business professionals—comprising both internal and external stakeholders—and collected supporting data to perform a comprehensive gap analysis across all sectors and companies. Based on our stakeholders’ requests and the needs we identified through the gap analysis, we developed our strategy and action plans. As a result of all these efforts, we have focused on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals of Gender Equality, Decent Work and Economic Growth, Climate Action, Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure as our United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). “We formulated our goals with these SDGs in mind and shaped our projects accordingly,” he said.

Noting that they have taken significant steps with the IC Sustainability Team, Bayar continued: “The most important outcome of our centralization process was the establishment of the IC Sustainability Team. Through a special certification program developed in collaboration with the Sustainability Academy, we provided 50 colleagues dedicated to sustainability with 18 weeks of comprehensive training across 12 different topics to help them develop expertise. In line with the IC Group’s sustainability strategy, this team will lead our sustainability vision for the next 10 years. As a group that has dedicated itself to our country’s development for over 50 years, we will continue to work toward progress alongside our more than 22,000 employees.”

IC Holding, which established its central sustainability management system in collaboration with Escarus—the sustainability consulting firm of the Turkish Industrial Development Bank (TSKB)—also prepared its sustainability report under Escarus’ guidance, in accordance with the core principles of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standard.
