Turkish contractors, who have showcased the construction sector’s success to the world through projects undertaken in 131 countries to date, were honored by the Turkish Contractors’ Association (TMB). At a ceremony held for the 6 Turkish engineering consulting firms featured on the 2020 and 2021 “World’s Top 250 International Contractors” lists published by the globally renowned Engineering News Record (ENR) magazine, as well as and 6 Turkish engineering consulting firms listed in the “World’s Top 225 International Engineering Consultants” lists, received their awards from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at a ceremony. Vice President Fuat Oktay, Minister of Trade Mehmet Muş, Minister of Treasury and Finance Nureddin Nebati, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu also attended the ceremony.

The ENR list is compiled annually based on the revenue firms generated from projects carried out outside their home countries in the previous year. Today, the sector stands out globally for its ability to execute projects to international standards, on time, and at a reasonable cost, as well as for its operational experience in challenging and high-risk regions and its relationship-building skills. Overseas contracting services are significant in terms of their contribution to the economy through foreign exchange inflows, exports, employment, and the sector’s competitive strength.
