Special Event by the ICA to Raise Awareness About “Safe Driving”

Oct 01, 2026

As part of its efforts under the motto “Focus on Safe Driving,” ICA continues its awareness-raising activities on traffic safety. At an event to be held July 2–8 at the Bi Mola Işıklar facility—which serves drivers along the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge and Northern Ring Highway route—a seatbelt simulation vehicle will be used to educate drivers on the importance of safe driving and seatbelt use.

ICA, the IC İçtaş İnşaat–Astaldi consortium that built and operates the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge and the Northern Ring Highway, is continuing its driver awareness events as part of its initiatives under the motto “Drive Safely.” ICA will use the “Seat Belt Simulation Vehicle,” specially installed at the Bi Mola Işıklar facility for the event, to help drivers experience firsthand the importance of safe driving and seat belts.

With the “Seat Belt Simulation Vehicle,” drivers will experience firsthand just how dangerous a rollover can be without a seat belt. In addition to the simulation vehicle, drivers will also have the opportunity to try on “Alcohol Goggles,” allowing them to experience firsthand the dangers of alcohol use, such as slowed reaction times, blurred and double vision, difficulties with depth and distance perception, impaired hand-eye coordination, and difficulty making decisions—and see firsthand the dangers they pose.

The event, open to all drivers from July 2–8 at the Bi Mola Işıklar facility along the Northern Ring Highway between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., will feature experts in safe driving education who will guide and provide information to drivers.
