IC Holding is a finalist in the “2022 Sustainable Business Awards” with five projects

The 2022 finalists have been announced for the “Sustainable Business Awards,” which recognize innovative projects that have a significant impact on economic, social, and environmental issues. IC Holding and its Group Companies have advanced to the finals with five projects in the Sustainable Business Awards, presented by the Sustainability Academy.

Operating in five key sectors—construction, energy, tourism, industry, and infrastructure—IC Holding continues its activities focused on creating lasting value for the environment and society. IC Holding and its Group Companies have successfully advanced to the final round with a total of five projects in the 2022 Sustainable Business Awards, organized by the Sustainability Academy for the ninth time this year.

While IC Holding advanced to the finals in the “Employee Engagement” category with its “Hemfikir İyi Fikir” project, the other companies within the group and their projects are as follows:

IC Hotels, the IC Group’s company in the tourism sector, advanced to the finals in the Energy Management category with its “Green Transformation at IC Hotels” project, designed to reduce the environmental impacts stemming from the service sector; and ICA İçtaş Infrastructure, whichreached the finals in the Carbon Management category with its “Smart Transportation Systems in the Fight Against Climate Change” project, developed to reduce carbon emissions from both operational processes and vehicle drivers. In the competition’s Social Impact – Environment category, IC Çeşme Marina advanced to the finals with its “Most Eco-Friendly Marina” project—comprising three distinct initiatives aimed at protecting the marine ecosystem; Trakya Electricity Distribution Inc. (TREDAŞ) also made it to the finals with its “Stork Population Conservation” project, implemented out of a sense of responsibility to protect biodiversity in the region where it operates.

Open to organizations that serve as role models through their efforts toward sustainable business models across all sectors, the “Sustainable Business Awards” are evaluated by a jury composed of Turkey’s leading academics. To date, over 130 projects have been recognized on this platform, which honors successful models and projects that create significant social, economic, and environmental impacts.

The winners of the 2022 Sustainable Business Awards will be announced at the awards ceremony to be held on Tuesday, October 18.
