IC Holding is laying the foundation for the next 10 years of sustainable management

Oct 01, 2026

IC İbrahim Çeçen Investment Holding will take solid steps toward the future through the IC Sustainability Team, which it established to support the integration of corporate sustainability across all group companies and to raise employee awareness of ESG issues. The team, consisting of 50 employees dedicated to sustainability, will gain expertise upon completing a specialized certification program developed in collaboration with the Sustainability Academy.
In line with its sustainability strategy focused on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, IC İbrahim Çeçen Investment Holding established the IC Sustainability Team to develop the leadership that will guide its sustainability vision over the next 10 years. With the goal of leaving a livable world for future generations and improving life in a sustainable manner, the IC Sustainability Team—comprising 50 employees who volunteered from the group’s companies—will gain expertise through a customized four-month certification program developed by the Sustainability Academy.

Noting that 2022 is a year of centralization and transformation in sustainability for IC Holding, IC Holding CEO Murad Bayar stated, “In our activities focused on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, we are in a year where we will take steps to reduce our plastic consumption and carbon footprint, prioritize the circular economy and energy efficiency, and finalize our central sustainability governance structure. I believe that through all the initiatives we have implemented and will implement, we will make a meaningful contribution to the overall effort toward sustainability,” he said.

“The IC Sustainability Team will lead us into the next 10 years”

Noting that IC Holding operates in five different sectors and that the areas where sustainability intersects with the group companies’ operations vary due to their activities in different sectors, Bayar continued: “During the detailed analysis and work we conducted with Escarus to establish our Sustainability Management System, we observed that our employees’ knowledge and perception of sustainability vary significantly. We considered this a risk for our sustainability strategy and took swift action by establishing the IC Sustainability Team. The IC Sustainability Team, which we first mentioned at the Green Business Sustainability Summit—where we served as the main sponsor—will lead our group’s sustainability vision for the next 10 years. Through this program, our employees who are passionate about sustainability will gain expertise in the field by taking courses from professional instructors in their respective areas. They will develop and manage sustainability projects that are of great importance for the future of our world and our Group’s contribution to that future. In this way, we will support the internalization of corporate sustainability across all our group companies and enhance our employees’ knowledge and awareness of ESG issues.”

Semra Sevinç, a member of the Sustainability Academy’s Board of Directors, stated: “The economic, environmental, and social risks we face in today’s world make it imperative for the business community to renew and transform its business models and strategies around the axis of sustainability. We are delighted to collaborate on training as part of IC Holding’s corporate sustainability transformation process, which it has embarked upon with the goal of becoming one of the leading institutions in the new economy. As part of employee awareness and competency development—one of the most critical pillars of corporate sustainability transformation—we believe that the long-term ‘IC Holding Corporate Sustainability Certification Program,” which we have carried out in collaboration with IC Holding and which covers the most critical topics of change throughout the value chain, will further strengthen the entire IC Holding team and accelerate the transformation,” he said.

The training, which will be delivered across 11 topics, will last 4 months

The IC Sustainability Team’s certification program consists of 37 hours of training content across 11 different topics, designed with a focus on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The program, which began with a launch meeting on Friday, May 27, 2022, will last 4 months.

As part of the program, a wide range of topics—from climate change to gender equality, and from carbon footprint calculations to green procurement and waste management—will be covered by expert instructors and professors in their respective fields.
