To date, the core support and dry reactor shield have been installed in the reactor building of Power Unit 1, while reinforcement and concrete pouring work on construction structures and buildings continues for the installation of main circulation pipeline (MCP) components that will connect the steam generators and the primary circuit’s main equipment of the NGS.

Additionally, at the construction site of the third power unit, concrete pouring for the foundations of the reactor section and turbine building was completed after reinforcing the foundation slabs.

At the construction site of the fourth power unit, excavation work for the foundation pit is being carried out in accordance with the limited work permit issued on June 30, 2021. The documentation package required to obtain the construction license for Unit 4 of the Akkuyu NPP is currently under review by the Nuclear Regulatory Authority of the Republic of Turkey.
