An infrastructure investment to expand the capacity of one of Turkey’s most important tourist airports

IC İçtaş Construction has successfully completed airside capacity expansion work at Antalya Airport to accommodate increasing passenger and flight traffic. As part of the project, the construction of a second runway, parallel taxiways, and apron expansion works were implemented, thereby strengthening the airport’s operational capacity and creating a modern infrastructure that supports simultaneous aircraft operations.

The new runway system and expanded apron areas were planned in an integrated manner with the increase in terminal capacity, enabling the safe, efficient, and uninterrupted management of the airport’s growing air traffic. The project contributes to increasing aircraft movement capacity while reducing taxi times, improving operational efficiency, and enabling more effective management of air traffic.

This investment, which contributes to the development of Antalya Airport—Turkey’s third-busiest airport and one of the Mediterranean’s most important international tourism hubs— is one of IC İçtaş İnşaat’s key reference projects, reflecting the company’s expertise in airport infrastructure, transportation engineering, and large-scale airside projects.
