The Cluj-Napoca Children’s Emergency Hospital in Romania is being built as one of the country’s largest pediatric healthcare facilities, with a total construction area of 100,543 m² and a capacity of 596 beds. The eight-story hospital building is equipped with 30 operating rooms, advanced diagnostic and treatment units, state-of-the-art medical equipment, extensive parking facilities, and a rooftop helipad. The emergency department, inpatient wards, intensive care units, diagnostic and imaging centers, laboratories, and central sterilization units are being implemented as a specialized children’s hospital integrated within a single campus.

Developed as an environmentally conscious structure based on sustainable design principles, energy-efficient building systems, and optimized water-energy consumption, the project—developed as an environmentally conscious structure—will, upon completion, increase pediatric healthcare capacity, improve access to specialized medical services, and make significant contributions to the development of the regional healthcare system.
