One of Romania's three major regional emergency hospitals

The Cluj Regional Hospital in Romania is being built as one of three major regional emergency hospitals serving Romania’s Northwest Region, with a total construction area exceeding 184,000 m² and a capacity of 849 beds. The hospital is designed to house 22 state-of-the-art operating rooms, 106 intensive care beds—including units for newborns, pediatrics, and burn patients—71 outpatient clinics, and six multidisciplinary medical centers. A comprehensive healthcare campus infrastructure is being implemented, including the main hospital building, an integrated operating room complex, intensive care units, diagnostic and treatment centers, a helipad, and a photovoltaic (solar energy) power plant.

Designed to meet nZEB (Nearly Zero-Energy Building) standards and A+ energy performance requirements, the project is one of the largest healthcare infrastructure investments in Romania and Eastern Europe. Upon completion, it will increase regional healthcare capacity, strengthen medical education and system resilience, and support long-term socio-economic development.
